Almost half of that career involved working in or managing portions of the training department. Multi-media programs, field training, operator training, sales training, outreach self-study programs, interactive video and specialized training for trade show representatives were developed, produced and presented by Ray.

During the five years prior to early retirement, Ray worked in the International Division performing market development and training worldwide. Several U.S.-developed training programs were adapted for offshore applications. These included videos formatted and recorded in other languages and training programs for sales, service and equipment operators in South Africa, Israel, Turkey, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Venezuela, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, the Philippines, Japan, Korea and China.
